Partner If you plan to marry, are married to, or are in a committed relationship with an Australian citizen or permanent resident, you may be able to obtain a partner-based visa for immigration to Australia. These are for:
- people intending to get married
- married (de jure) partners
- de facto partners
- interdependent partners (including those in a same-sex relationship).
- Parent Parents may be able to migrate to Australia if they have a child in Australia who is an Australian citizen or legal residents.
- Child For dependent children, orphan relatives or adopted children of an Australian citizen or legal residents.
- Other Family Aged dependent relatives, remaining relatives and carers of Australian citizens or legal residents.
